Fred's 1966 Corvair Monza coupe
Yep, one of those oddballs...motor in the back.
Built in the good old U.S.A. by Chevrolet of all companies. It surely worked better than history will ever show. If it weren't for the deeds of one man it's possible it could have somewhat changed the outlook of automobiles made in America.
Fred's Monza coupe is powered by a 2.7 liter flat 6 engine mated to a trusty Powerglide automatic between it's trailing arm independent suspension. It's been bored “60” over with a truck (260) cam and has 3.55 rear gears, factory A/C
Fred's beauty is finished in Aztec Bronze with Bronze interior.
Options include telescoping steering wheel, fast ratio steering box and factory air conditioning.
It’s been tweaked a little here & there including a Camaro air dam, Stinger rear spoiler, steering stabilizer, 15” wheels and the battery has been relocated to the front. Fred’s been tooling around in his Monza since 2011.
